About 1KLIKES

WHY THE NAME 1KLIKES?
At our core, we’re a small-format fine art and photo printing studio, specializing in high-end A5–A2 prints. Whether it’s your personal photographs, original artwork, or a piece you’ve chosen from our online gallery, we deliver impeccable quality prints—made simple, made beautifully.
But 1KLIKES is more than just a print shop. It’s also a platform: an online gallery where anyone can discover and purchase inspiring art. Here, emerging and established creatives alike can showcase their work—and share in the profits from print and digital sales.
So why the name? To have your art featured in our gallery, it first needs to reach a benchmark: 1,000 likes on any of your social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook preferred). It’s our way of ensuring that your work has already sparked interest and connection online.
We also have clear boundaries: artworks promoting violence, nudity, political propaganda, or negativity will not be considered. We want this platform to uplift, inspire, and celebrate creativity—not contribute to division. While our founder is a Christian who shares positive messages of faith, religious artworks of all kinds are welcomed and reviewed with love, openness, and respect.
We believe that “chasing likes” doesn’t have to be shallow—it can be a force for recognition, opportunity, and growth. At 1KLIKES, we want to make likes meaningful again by using them to amplify talent, build community, and promote the beauty of our country.
This is about more than printing. It’s about creating a space where art unites us, lifts us up, and bridges divides.
HOW TO SELL YOUR WORK ON 1KLIKES?
As an artist, all you need to do is share your work on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #1KLikesSA. You can send us links, or tag us on posts that you have already reached our criteria. We will gladly accept these.
Any post that reaches 1,000 likes or more qualifies for the chance to be featured in our online gallery at www.1klikes.co.za, where people can discover and purchase your art as prints.
Also, your qualifying art will be featured on our on Social Media pages, helping to promote and spread the word.
To protect both you and us, artists will enter into a simple agreement. You’ll always retain full ownership of your work, and you’ll have the freedom to remove it from the platform at any time. Sharing it on our social platforms is done with your consent.

Where do we draw the line?
At 1KLIKES, our mission is to promote South African artists and photographers. In a world where authenticity is becoming the true currency, we believe art should come from human hands, hearts, and minds.
AI will no doubt have its place—especially in digital art and photo editing—but it should not replace the artist entirely. Prompts may be a tool, but should they be considered art in their own right? We don’t think so, not yet.
That’s why we only showcase artwork created with minimal assistance from AI. Fully AI-generated pieces won’t be included in our gallery. That said, customers are of course welcome to print their own AI artworks with us if they wish.
This is an evolving conversation, and we’ll remain open to new perspectives. But for now, we choose to celebrate human creativity—and leave the machine to more mundane tasks.
